The 16th District of New York is home to many municipalities, organizations, and institutions working on important projects that could receive funding from the federal government. I’m proud to have helped secure over $1 billion in federal funding for NY16 since taking office. I am committed to continuing this advocacy, including through advocating for important funding priorities in the FY2025 budget.

If you are interested in submitting appropriations requests for Fiscal Year 2025, please find more information and request forms below related to general programmatic funding levels, bill or report language, and community project funding. At present, we are operating under FY2024 guidelines from the House Appropriations Committee. These guidelines are subject to change as the Appropriations Committee releases more information for FY2025.

General Programmatic and Language Requests

For all general programmatic requests, please use this form. For all general language (bill or report) requests, please use this form. These are typically requests for overall funding levels or legislative or report language for a program and DO NOT name specific entities which would receive funding. Please submit each request individually (one program or language request per submission). Applications for Community Project Funding will not be accepted through these forms.

The deadline for submitting FY25 general programmatic and language requests to Rep. Bowman’s office is April 19, 2024 at 6:00 PM EST.

Community Project Funding Requests

Rep. Bowman is pleased to accept applications for FY25 Community Project Funding. Before submitting an application, please review guidance from the Appropriations committee and determine which bill and account you would like to apply under. Guidance for each subcommittee for FY25 can listed here. The eligible account list for FY25 can be found here.

Please submit your CPF request using the appropriate application form listed below:

Please submit each request individually -- multiple requests in one submission will not be accepted. Applications are due to our office by 6:00 pm EST on April 30th, 2024. If you are unable to compile all application materials by that time, please submit the application anyway and our office will work with you on any outstanding materials.

Please note the following guidelines:

  • No Memorials, Museums, or Commemoratives: Memorials, museums, and commemoratives (i.e., projects named for an individual or entity) are not eligible for Community Project Funding. Many are eligible for competitive grants, and Members can request higher program funding levels.

  • Ban on For-Profit Recipients: Project funding may not be directed to for-profit recipients. Members may request funding for State, local, or tribal governmental grantees and certain eligible non-profits, as allowed under federal law and subcommittee guidance.

    • HUD Economic Development Initiative (“EDI"): In FY 2025, only governmental entities and public institutions of higher education will be eligible for EDI projects. This is a change from FY24.
