Dear neighbor,
Today, on Memorial Day, we mourn and honor the service members who lost their lives in service of this country. We think of their families and loved ones who are facing that immense loss every day, not just on Memorial Day. We think of the courage and dedication it takes to make such a sacrifice for our nation.
Throughout our District, we remember the incredible people who gave their lives serving this country. I hope that you may take some time today to honor them by learning more about their contributions not only in the U.S. military, but in our district and in the nation as a whole. To anyone who has personally experienced the loss of a friend or family member in service to our country, our sincere condolences go out to you. Together, we will continue our work to uphold the values within our families, communities, and institutions that our service members have fought to protect: equality, justice, opportunity, freedom, and a shared responsibility to each other.
As always, please reach out to my office if you have questions or require assistance with a federal agency, and we will do our best to address your needs.
Kind regards,
Congressman Jamaal Bowman (NY-16)
