NEW YORK – Today, Congressman Jamaal Bowman, Ed.D (NY-16) issued the following statement recognizing Yom Kippur.
“I extend my best wishes and an easy, meaningful fast to all neighbors observing Yom Kippur,” said Congressman Jamaal Bowman, Ed.D (NY-16). “This time allows us all to join the Jewish community in reflection and contemplation on this past year so that we may build a more equitable, peaceful and loving world. Together we are one and our ability to respect one another and ourselves, allows us to evolve as a community, state, nation and eventually world. I am honored to represent a Jewish community whose heritage in NY-16 is woven into the fabric of our neighborhoods and cemented in traditions we have come to know and love. G’mar Chatima Tovah.”
