Dear neighbor,
Happy Monday, and I hope this week is off to a good start for you!
This month is Mental Health Awareness Month. All month long, my office has been sharing resources and tips to identify and address mental health in both adults and youth. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) 35.8% of adults in New York deal with anxiety or depression and 145,000 youth aged 12-17 in New York have depression. As a community it is imperative we address mental health not only this month, but every month and every day.
In an effort to equip you with the tools you need to address mental health concerns in your home or with family and friends, I am inviting you to join me for a Wellness Webinar tomorrow, May 25th at 12 p.m.. I will also be joined by local partners below so that you can learn about services in our community, some which are free. Those partners include:
-
New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
-
Westchester Department of Community Mental Health
-
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) - Westchester
To join tomorrow, May 25th at 12 p.m. sign up at the link below:
